Join me in the garden! Are you, or your organization, looking for opportunities to give back? Look no further! As both a sole proprietor and volunteer, I am in constant need of help in my gardens—planting, watering, harvesting and even organizing for upcoming events. I also love introducing people to the art of urban flower farming as well as teaching volunteers organic farming practices and how to protect our precious pollinators. 

If you choose to volunteer your time with The Flower Lady OTR, you will be investing in a small business owner with a solid history of being committed to having a positive impact on communities around the city of Cincinnati with a philosophy of giving back.

For instance, because I would like to see everyone succeed and be healthy, an important aspect of my business is teaching entrepreneurial skills to the youth. A few years ago, in the Over-the-Rhine People’s Garden, I started a free Garden Club with interested youth who attend the after-school program at Wesley Chapel. To this day the Garden Club continues to walk down the street to the garden 1-2 times a month, year round, to learn about growing food, earning money, and having fun.

In addition, supporting a local farmer like myself, you will be helping to improve the economy in our area as well as contributing to the beautification and unification of the inner-city.

As a way of saying thank you, every volunteer will go home with a packet of flower seeds or free bouquet!
